What if i fail at all of it, because I tried to do too much?
The finish line always seems to move further away, no matter how fast I go.
“What if I end up as nothing?” This question runs through my mind all the time, and it scares me deeply. I’m terrified that no matter how much I try or how much effort I put into life, I’ll still end up being nobody.
Every day, from the moment I wake up to the moment I try to sleep, my mind doesn’t give me a break. It’s always reminding me that I need to do more, push harder, and keep going. It’s like a voice constantly whispering, “If you don’t try harder, if you don’t give your all, what kind of future will you have?”
I have so many interests and dreams. I want to do so much with my life. But the truth is, everything I’ve tried so far has left me feeling like I’m just mediocre at best. It’s like I’m never really good at anything.
The more I try, the more I notice the gap between where I am and where I want to be.
Even when I manage to improve or achieve something that makes me feel proud for a moment, reality comes crashing down. I look around and see others who seem to do the same thing effortlessly, like it’s second nature to them.
It’s like I’m climbing a mountain, while others soar above me with wings I can’t seem to grow.
And then I start to feel like no matter how hard I work, I’ll never measure up to them. This thought haunts me, especially at night. When everything is quiet and I’m left alone with my mind, that fear comes rushing in. It’s like a shadow that grows darker and larger, filling my head with doubts and worries.
I keep asking myself, “What if I’m not enough? What if I’ll never be enough?” It’s a question that I can’t seem to escape, no matter how hard I try. The darkness of night becomes the perfect stage for my fears to perform.
Now, this fear has rooted itself so deeply in me that it’s hard to ignore. I can’t help but wonder if I’ll ever be good at anything. Will I ever find something that makes me feel like I’m truly capable, truly worthy? Or will I just keep trying and failing, over and over again, until I finally give up?
It feels like I’m searching for a door that doesn’t exist, and every failed attempt leaves me more lost.
What if all the hard work I’m doing right now doesn’t lead to anything meaningful? What if I pour my heart and soul into everything, and in the end, I still end up being nothing?
I have so many plans for my life. I’ve laid them out in front of me, step by step, and I dream of achieving every single one of them. I want to be successful. I want to make a difference. I want to look back on my life and feel proud of who I became. But that fear creeps in constantly, making me second guess myself.
It makes me tremble with anxiety, thinking, “What if wanting to be too many things means I’ll end up being nothing at all?”
I want to do so many things because I’m passionate about so many things. But what if chasing too many dreams spreads me too thin? What if I fail at all of it, not because I didn’t try hard enough, but because I tried to do too much?
It’s overwhelming to think about. I feel like I’m trapped between wanting to do everything and being scared that I won’t be good at anything. I feel like I’m running a race, but I don’t even know where the finish line is, or if I’ll ever reach it. And honestly, it’s exhausting.
Every day, I question myself. Am I doing enough? Am I working hard enough? Am I good enough? And the truth is, I don’t have the answers to these questions. All I know is that this fear of being nothing is so strong, it sometimes feels like it’s holding me back. It keeps me up at night, it weighs on my chest, and it makes me feel so small.
I don’t want to give up. I want to keep trying, to keep pushing, to keep working toward my dreams. But the fear is always there, reminding me of the possibility that I might fail, that I might never be good enough.
And that thought is heavier than the monsters under my bed that I can easily ignore or the demons in my head that I can tame sometimes.
What if this fear isn’t just a passing thought but the truth of who I am?
What if my greatest fear isn’t failing but realizing that I was never meant to succeed?
